4 lbs brisket
hot water
1 Tbs salt
1 qt sauerkraut
1/4 tsp pepper
1 cup vinegar; mild
3 Tbs brown sugar
1 medium potato; grated
1 tsp caraway seed
Cover brisket
with water; season. Simmer for 1 hour to 1 1/2 hours. Add sauerkraut,
vinegar and brown sugar. Cook 1 hour longer. Add potato and caraway
seed. Cook 10 minutes longer.
